Sonyk — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Underspin City Gourmet, LLC ("Sonyk", "we") handles information in the Sonyk apps and website (the "Service"). We built Sonyk to keep your music yours.

What we collect

Account (optional): if you create an account, your email address and a display name, handled by our backend provider (Supabase). You can use the core music-making features without an account.
Community content: if you post to the community/feedback board, we store your post, votes, and comments.
Your music & recordings: your songs, samples, and microphone recordings are created and stored on your device. We do not upload them unless you explicitly share, post, or (in future) enable cloud sync.
Purchases: subscription status. On iOS, billing is handled by Apple; on the web, by our payment processor. We do not receive your full card details.
Basic diagnostics: limited technical/usage information to operate and improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Microphone

Sonyk uses the microphone only when you choose to record. Recordings stay on your device unless you share or export them. We do not listen in the background.

How we use information

To provide and operate the Service, authenticate your account, sync your subscription entitlement, power the community board, respond to support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties

We use Supabase (accounts/backend), Apple (iOS billing & app distribution), and a web payment processor (web billing). If you connect SoundCloud or Beatport, your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms.

Your choices & rights

You can use the app without an account. If you have an account, you can edit your display name and delete your account (which removes your profile and community posts) from in-app settings or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA); contact us to exercise them.

Children

Sonyk is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
